At one point or another, and for whatever reason, you may realize that your mortgage payment is simply too high. You no longer can comfortably afford it. If too many payments are missed, your home can go into foreclosure<\/a>, or be sold in a short sale<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course, if you foresee that the payments are getting too high, you may have options. You could always sell the home before any missed payments occur.  However, you might not want to sell your home.
