If you missed one or more mortgage payments, your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.gov\/credit-reports\">credit history<\/a> may have been affected, and you may not be able to refinance your mortgage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to lower your mortgage payment, a <a href=\"http:\/\/mortgagemodificationri.com\/blog\/2018\/09\/18\/what-is-a-mortgage-modification\/\">mortgage modification<\/a> may help you. A mortgage modification can lower your mortgage payment in a few different ways.
