As the saying goes, there\u2019s no place like home for the holidays. However, if you are having difficulty making your mortgage payment, you may feel so much stress about your financial situation that it takes away from your holiday. You may be feeling mortgage stress. A recent survey<\/a> found that approximately half of the participants experienced stress about their financial situation. Further, 5-8% of the participants worries specifically about losing their home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worrying about your financial situation can affect your\nhealth as well as your relationships with others. However, if you can\u2019t make\nyour mortgage payment because you are experiencing a financial hardship<\/a>,\na mortgage\nmodification<\/a> may be a great option for you. A mortgage modification is when\nyou enter into an agreement with your mortgage company to change some aspect of\nyour current mortgage. This change can occur in a few different ways, but it\nresults in a reduction of your monthly mortgage payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
