They are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/12\/10\/us\/politics\/mark-calabria-federal-housing-finance-agency.html?rref=collection%2Ftimestopic%2FLoan%20Modifications&amp;action=click&amp;contentCollection=your-money&amp;region=stream&amp;module=stream_unit&amp;version=latest&amp;contentPlacement=1&amp;pgtype=collection\">highest&nbsp;<\/a>that they have been since 2011. Further, the rates are predicted to continue to rise into 2019. Rising mortgage interest rates aren&#8217;t necessarily a bad thing.  Rising interest rates could mean that the economy is doing well, which is a good thing. However, rising mortgage interest rates may affect certain homeowners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a homeowner who is having trouble making your mortgage payments, you may be considering different options. For example, you may be considering refinancing your current mortgage. However, due to the rising mortgage interest rates,  <a href=\"http:\/\/mortgagemodificationri.com\/blog\/2018\/09\/22\/refinancing-or-mortgage-modification\/\">refinancing a mortgage<\/a> may not help lower your monthly payment. The interest rate on the refinanced mortgage could be higher than the interest rate on your current mortgage. This means that you could end up paying the same or even more each month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another option that you may be considering is selling your home to purchase a more affordable one. However, if you decide to do this, because of rising mortgage interest rates, it may not help.
